Mission Vision and Values Statements
That Reflect Who We Are

By Adam Low, CEO

When SENTA Partners first formed, our mission statement was representative of a new company strategically focused on building a foundation for a management service organization (MSO) to deliver high-quality management services to our affiliated practices. But as we grew and our impact expanded, we began to see that we shared much larger goals with the affiliated practices. No matter whether a SENTA employee works in operations or finance or HR or allergy or ENT clinics, we each contribute to supporting physicians and patients, helping people in our communities hear better and feel better. We improve their quality of life.

So we determined to update our Mission, Vision and Values statement to reflect these shared goals and mission. Now, we have articulated these core principles that unite the hundreds of us who work in every facet of the SENTA Partners organization to support our physicians so that they can focus on the kind of quality care that impacts people’s lives every day.

I’m happy to share with you the principles that guide us.

► Our Mission Statement

We help people Breathe  better, Hear  better, Live  better.

► Our Vision

To build a network of dedicated physician partners who provide the highest quality patient centered care.

► Our Values

And we are presenting our values in this easy-to-remember acrostic.

We Believe  in

Respect,

Engagement,

Accountability,

Teamwork,

Happiness, &

Excellence

Core Value Award Winners

We know that all SENTA Partners employees work hard and are committed. But we established these Core Value Awards to be presented periodically to recognize commitment to the core values above and beyond what’s expected. Congratulations to these five winners, who all showed tremendous leadership skills during periods of transition.

Rob DeMeyers, director of business development, has been doing a rock solid job of closing deals while building the department. Way to go!

Rob DeMeyers

Kristi Abbott, DPN, RN, nurse manager of the surgery center at Northwest ENT, stepped into a void to fill this role, and she has worked diligently to unite the team and streamline operations so that this unit functions efficiently and smoothly. Great work, Kristi.

Kristi Abbott

Mary Rose Sagum, LPN, and Dan Pool, IT director, joined us with Atlanta Asthma & Allergy, guiding the practice into the transition and making it as seamless as possible. Their example set the stage for other employees, and they were always ready to lend a hand. Thanks to you both!

Jen Boring, senior accountant, has taken on a leadership role in her department, keeping up with the transitions and going above and beyond.

Meet Anbreen Babwani, Talent Development Manager

Anbreen Babwani joined SENTA Partners on Valentine’s Day, signaling a great start to an important relationship. She holds a master’s in education, specializing in STEM, and she brings her experience in program management and training to SENTA. With her strong background in the operational understanding of training and development, she sees starting the new initiative at SENTA as an exciting challenge.

Anbreen Babwani

“Coming in early to an organization that does not have much of a formalized or centralized employee development system is exciting,” she says. She can use her experience in education to develop training and development curricula that is repeatable and transferable, creating a way of ensuring that every SENTA employee has access to the same information and guidance.

She will work on programs that help onboard new employees, providing the training they need to do their work successfully and also for current employees who are interested in taking on new roles or advancing their own professional development.

Team-Building Fun

The team from ENT of South Georgia welcomed 2022 by spending time at a fun out-of-the-ordinary event.

Allergy Season Is Coming; Let’s Be Ready
By Len Schiavone, COO, SENTA Partners

The trees are budding and blossoms are not far away. With that comes one of the busiest times of the year for ENT and allergy practices: spring allergy season. Is your clinic ready to accommodate the rush?

Here’s a shout-out to Northwest ENT and Atlanta Allergy & Asthma, which have both improved their patient experience percentages to 70 percent. That’s an indication that we are helping our patients. Patients rank their experiences favorably when they are able to get appointments easily, are welcomed into the practice and feel that they’ve gotten good care and attention.

Keep up the great work.

Practice Administrator Eases the Transition

Jami Geck, CMPE, came into her role as practice administrator at ENT of Carolina at what might be considered a challenging time. The practice had just affiliated with SENTA Partners, becoming SENTA’s first practice in North Carolina. This is the role that Jami relishes, though. For the past 15 years, she has been with private equity companies, working to bring practices into the organization. “I am passionate about companies when they go through this growth stage. I love the operations and the work that goes into building teams. There are so many emotions involved at this time, too,” she says.

Jami Geck

She becomes a calming influence, with her experience reinforcing to employees and physicians that other practices have made it through a transition like this. Having a SENTA Partners administrator in the office helps remove some of the stress and provide a ready-made source for questions.

For example, many employees worry about whether their accumulated time off, 401(k) or seniority will be impacted. They’re intimidated by having to learn new systems. Physicians are making their adjustments from being the entrepreneur owner to their new role.

“With a great team, operations can often improve. It’s been exciting to be here this past month,” she says. She has already brought back some of the team spirit that may have been dulled during COVID-19. “We’re celebrating birthdays and employment anniversaries.” Much of the team is intact, but she is adding more of the SENTA Partners culture.

Jami calls herself a spreadsheet nerd. “I love building spreadsheets.” She’s also a football fan, rooting especially for her alma mater The Ohio State University—and her former hometown LA Chargers.

Two Departments Launched Within Finance

We welcome two new leaders in finance to head up two new departments.

Cary Schrock joined SENTA in January as director, procurement and supply chain. Cary reports to our CFO, Jen Morgan, and will be leading our 2022 initiative to implement Coupa, a state-of-the-art sourcing, procurement and accounts payable (AP) processing system. He is excited to share more information with all of you as he gets ready to kick this off in April.

Cary Schrock

Eric Richards joined SENTA in January as treasury director and manages the banking relationships, cash management and AP. Eric will be leading our 2022 initiative to implement a new treasury management structure, automated payment posting from lockboxes into our electronic medical records, along with rolling out our new corporate card program with Divvy. Eric will be interacting with many throughout the business on access to bank accounts, AP updates as well as setting up travel and expense cards for our managers and above.

Migrations Require Careful Planning
By Frank Hutchison, VP of Information Technology

What’s new in the world of technology? At SENTA, we are working hard to get everyone on the same security and technology platform. It is a daunting task, but we are already making great progress. In the past couple of months, we have successfully moved the Center for Allergy & Asthma and ENT Carolina over to O365, giving global access for them and all the practices to share emails, office applications and TEAMs functionality. This is the first step in bringing all the practices together.

We also have migrated Atlanta Allergy & Asthma and ENT of South Georgia over to our new MSP, NetOps, accounting for 18 of our 39 locations. Planning is underway to move other practices in the next several months, so be sure to stay tuned. And, if that wasn’t enough, we are very close to a complete overhaul of security at each clinic and a complete hardware refresh of all laptops and workstations.

Lots of steps are happening at once, and these things take careful planning and design before we go live at a practice. Just know that my team is behind the scenes working carefully and diligently to make a difference. We are on the right path to help SENTA be the gold standard, and the journey is just beginning!
